Not Gone

So, I promise I didn't disappear off of the face of the earth.

I just got a little busy.

I finally logged into my blog today, and saw that the last time I posted was the second day of school. Today, I am able to spend a few minutes writing because my students are taking their end of the quarter tests this week (we call them Benchmarks in our district).

Has an entire quarter flown by already?  I can hardly believe it.

The last few months have been a whirlwind of activities.  I've got quite a few DIY projects still in the works for the wedding.  I've almost got my grading system down at school (ya - 8 weeks into school, and I've almost got it).  I've had more appointments in the last few weeks than I knew were possible.  I've been getting to know people and starting to feel like I belong at my new church.

I've managed to find time to spend with Mat, but hardly with anyone else.

But, in a few short weeks, things will slow down, and I am so looking forward to that time. I plan on reconnecting with (seemingly long-lost) friends.  I plan on finishing up some of my classroom projects.  I plan on blogging :)  I plan on doing the things that have been forced into the back seat recently. I plan on resting.

  1. Yay! I'm happy to see you back on here. :) I mean, I know I saw you last night, but still... I'm also glad the quarter is going well, and I hope your kids do well on the benchmarks!

  2. Crazy how time flies...I'm sure you'll be less busy once you and Mat are married! you're going through a lot of transitions right now, so it's totally understandable :)

Ps, so I feel like I've asked you this before, but I don't remember what you said. When you and Mat get married, will you change your name right away or wait until the summer? I think it might be funny to come back from break as Mrs. Miller instead of Ms. Boeder. Confusion and fun would ensue :)

  3. Totally changing my name right away. I told my kids they have to call me Mrs. Miller when I get back. (A few of them wanted to start now...I told them no. That just makes me more impatient to get married!)
