An Old Fashioned Handwritten Letter

When Noah was in Basic Training, we wrote back and forth.  It was the only way to keep in contact with him, and he lived on getting his named called during Mail Call.  He said it didn't matter if he got 5 letters yesterday, getting nothing always hurt.  So, I tried to write him as often as I could, along with many other people.

He recently got to spend a few weeks at home, and we talked about how nice it was to write letters.  We don't do that much anymore in our society, huh?  Noah and I decided to keep writing letters.  Who doesn't love getting a letter in the mail?

Anyway, I got a letter from Noah a few days ago.  It made my day.  Nothing much in the letter, just a "Hi" and "I'm doing fine," pretty much, but I enjoyed reading it.  I just sat down and wrote one back to him last night, and stuck it in the mail this morning.  I hope we keep it up.

Who can you write a letter to?  It only takes a few minutes out of your busy day, and it would probably mean more than you think to the recipient.  Go write a letter!! And mail it...even if that person lives right down the street.
